Signs You May Need a French Drain

Puddles that sit in the lawn for days after rain or snowmelt, soggy spots near downspouts, water collecting against the foundation, or a muddy low corner of the yard. A French drain gives that water a path to a safe discharge point.

How a French Drain Works

A sloped trench is dug through the wet area, lined, and filled with a perforated pipe surrounded by gravel. Water soaks into the gravel, enters the pipe, and flows by gravity to where it can drain away. Then the trench is backfilled so the yard can be restored.

Locates Before We Dig

Yards often hide sprinkler lines, power, gas, and water services. We request Blue Stakes of Utah locates before every dig so existing lines are marked first.
